The Catapult is bringing expertise in developing 5G networks and experience in creating hybrid communications solutions to the 5G RuralDorset project. Utilising its Connectivity Centre in Westcott, Buckinghamshire, the Catapult will be focusing on creating the 5G network that will be used for the coastal trials and on long-term options for rolling out enhanced, rural connectivity with consideration to costs and impact on the local area. The team is also providing support with a human and technology centred approach to designing the 5G ecosystem for the agriculture and aquaculture trials, bringing vast experience and connections within in the agricultural technology sector.
